The Sandy Hook Region will be having a 100th Anniversary Camporee this summer!

Please join us for a Weekend Celebrating of 100 years of Girl Scouting. Enjoy Historical, Traditional and Contemporary Activities: everything that makes Girl Scouting fun! 

Price includes camping, five meals, commemorative tee shirt, patch, water bottle, day pack and all activities.

Activities planned include Historical: Timeline of major events GSUSA, GSJS, Monmouth Council, Ocean Council, Tea with Juliet Low, Uniform Fashion Show, Historical display, Trivia, Golden Eaglet. Traditional: Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Flag Retirement, Cooking Demonstrations: Box oven, vagabond stoves, Dutch oven, SWAPS, sharing, making, Community Service, Field Games, Lashing/Knots, Scouts Own, Nature: Animal Calls, Animal Track Molds, Leaf Printing, Natural Dyes, Survivor Skills, Water Tables/ purification, Water Barrels, Star Gazing Crafts: 1000 paper cranes, Quilting-help make a commemorative quilt, Embroidery, Story weaving: weave mementos into a wall hanging (bring dried flowers, patches, cloth, bits of uniforms, etc.), Wood carving, Recycled crafts, Make Your own Musical Instruments, God's Eyes, Dream catchers Current: Minute to Win It, Night Hike, Sensory Hikes, Evening Dance, Team building, Self Esteem Workshops, Jewelry Making, Backpacking/kayaking workshops, Self defense classes, Scavenger Hunt, Time Capsule, Leader Lounge, Monmouth County Sheriff's Office, Healthy Hanna Campfire: 100th Anniversary Sing-A-Long, S’mores, Birthday Cake (help decorate).
