2010 Golf Committee

(L-R) Susan H. McClure, CEO Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, George Campbell of Investors Savings Bank, Golf Classic committee co-chair, Senator Jennifer Beck, honorary chair and Nina Anuario of OceanFirst Bank, committee co-chair, take a break during a planning meeting of the Girl Scout Golf Classic. The Girl Scout Golf Classic will take place on May 10, 2010 at Pine Barrens Golf Club in Jackson.

Girl Scout Golf Classic

Supporting the Girl Scouts and hitting the links for a great day on the golf course are two traditions that go hand-in-hand in Monmouth and Ocean counties. By participating our golf you can help area girls grow strong in courage, confidence and character while you take some well earned time to improve your game on one of the best courses in the state.

The Girl Scout Golf Classic

Hit the links for a day of fun and relaxation with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore at the Golf Classic at Pine Barrens Golf Club in Jackson on May 10, 2010.

The Girl Scouts are excited to welcome Senator Jennifer Beck as honorary chair with Nina Anuario of OceanFirst Bank and George Campbell of Investors Savings Bank, as co-chairs for the only Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore golf event this year.

Investors Savings Bank is proud to be the event sponsor with OceanFirst Bank as dinner sponsor.

The day begins with lunch at 11:30 a.m., and tee-off is at 1 p.m. There are many opportunities to become involved, including a variety of sponsorships, as a twosome, a foursome or individual golfer. Dinner only tickets are also available.

Awards are given for first-place foursome, closest to the pin and longest drive. In addition, there are hole-in-one and beat-the-pro contests as well as a silent auction. Entry fees include the greens fee, a cart and refreshments.

Golfing with the Girl Scouts supports the more than 15,000 girl members of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. Your relaxing day on the green helps remove financial barriers to participation in Girl Scout programs, trips and activities for girls. Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character through age-appropriate opportunities that help them develop into strong leaders.

Girl Scout educational programs teach important life skills and values that our members use throughout their lives to guide their actions. When girls are participating in a troop activity, attending one of our summer day camps, or enrolled in an after school program, they are being challenged to try new things and learn about themselves.

This year's Golf Classic sponsor is Investors Savings Bank with OceanFirst Bank as the dinner sponsor.
