As an organization dedicated to helping young girls grow strong in courage, confidence and character, the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore feels it is vital to recognize adult leaders who demonstrate these qualities in their everyday lives.

Through Women of Achievement, the council honors role models in southern Ocean County whose contributions to the community, both professionally and personally, lead to a better quality of life.

The 2011 Women of Achievement event took place March 8, 2011, at Sea Oaks Country Club, Little Egg Harbor, with three incredible honorees - Kim Frazee, Leslie Houston and Kathleen Thulin - each an outstanding example of professional women who today's girls should look to emulate now and in the future.

These three honorees join a distinguished list of honorees for an event that began in 1999.
