Women of Distinction Print Email

As an organization dedicated to helping young girls grow strong in courage, confidence and character, the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore recognizes adult leaders who demonstrate these qualities in their everyday lives.

Through Women of Distinction, the council honors role models in Monmouth and Ocean counties whose contributions to the community, both professionally and personally, lead to a better quality of life.

On April 14, 2011, Nina Anuario, Lt. Gov Kim Guadagno, Teri O’Connor and Carol Stillwell became the Girl Scouts the Jersey Shore's lastest Women of Distinction. They join a distinguished list of honorees that goes back almost 25 years, to the first Women of Distinction event in 1987.

Congratulations to them and all our Women of Distinction, past and present, outstanding examples of professional women today's girls look to emulate now and in the future. We look forward to meeting the honorees who will join your ranks in the future.
