As an organization dedicated to helping young girls grow strong in courage, confidence and character, the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore feels it is vital to recognize adult leaders who demonstrate these qualities in their everyday lives.

Through Women of Distinction, the council honors role models in Monmouth and Ocean counties whose contributions to the community, both professionally and personally, lead to a better quality of life.

Since 1987, Women of Distinction have been honored for the role they serve in the community as role models and leaders. Our 2010 honorees - Ann L. Noble, Barbara J. McMorrow, Susan M. Kelly, Sandy S. Broughton and Virginia S. Bauer. - are outstanding examples of professional women who today's girls should look to emulate now and in the future.
