Calla Aniski Print Email

Calla met with the county engineer’s office and her local government officials to begin the process of creating painted crosswalks for pedestrians. She also created a petition for supporters and opened a website to provide information to the community. Calla learned never to give up when planning a project. (2011 Gold Award Recipient)

 
Daphne Bistrimovich Print Email

Daphne shared her enthusiasm for court sports with girls ages 5 to 18. She organized and conducted workshops which included set up, rules of the court, court safety and sportsmanship. Daphne has learned that she is a good leader and that preparation and good planning are very important. (2011 Gold Award Recipient)

 
Emily Bourke Print Email

Emily worked with Morgan Neill to teach young students ways to avoid spreading germs. They also collected toiletry donations for needy families. They planned and ran a family kickball tournament/health fair. Emily learned that she is able to be in a leadership position and work well with others. (2011 Gold Award Recipient)

 
Alissa Cappelleri Print Email

Alissa implemented a bi-monthly bowling league for children with special needs. She wanted an activity that would require them to utilize communication and motor skills while having fun and being part of a team. She acquired many skills and learned that good communication is vital. (2011 Gold Award Recipient)

 
Christen Carpenter Print Email

Christen transformed a rundown room into a Christmas Wonderland for the military children of NWS Earle. Remembering her own childhood memories, she strived to provide the same experience for these children. She learned the importance of planning, scheduling and prioritizing.
