Now is the perfect time to make a commitment to your troop and to Girl Scouts for another exciting, fun-filled year. When you register for the 2008-2009 Girl Scout year as an Early Bird, not only do you and your girls receive extra benefits and save money, you eliminate the stress that often comes with having to register in September.

How Early Bird Helps You
- "Ready To Go" in September
- Special programs designated for a reduced Early Bird discount price.
- Every girl registered in a troop before July 31, 2008, will be eligible to attend one of the special programs at the listed reduced price.
- Every girl registered as an Early Bird will receive a FREE Early Bird patch.
- Girls can designate some of their troop funds to cover their annual membership dues/registration ($10 per year).
Early Bird Procedures
Troop registration packets will be available for pick-up at May Service Unit meetings. Check with your Service Unit registrar for additional pick-up details.
Early Bird registrations are due to your local Service Center no later than July 31, 2008. While full troop registration is recommended, partial registration is acceptable with a minimum of five girls and one adult.
Early Bird registrations become effective on October 1, 2008 for the 2008-2009 program year.

NOTE: If you are a parent/guardian who wants to register your child for Girl Scouts, speak with your current troop leader regarding Early Bird registration. If she currently does not belong to a troop, call (800) 785-2090 to discuss the possibilities that exist for her to become a Girl Scout.
