Volunteer Leadership Positions
Our council serves more than 15,000 girls by providing local opportunities for girls to register and participate in the Girl Scout Program. It takes the support and dedication of local volunteers to make this happen. Here are a list of local volunteer positions that may need to be filled in your area. Service Unit Manager
Guides, organizes and encourages adult volunteers within an assigned area for further the development of the Girl Scout Program.
Assistant Service Unit Manager
Assists the Service Unit Manager in guiding, organizing and encouraging adult volunteers within an assigned area to further the development of the Girl Scout Program.
Consultant
Provides support and resources to leaders within a geographic area.
Membership Organizer
Increases girl participation in the Girl Scout Program in an assigned area by placing girls into troops and recruiting adults.
New Leader Coordinator
Provides information and education to prospective new Girl Scout volunteers.
School Membership Manager
Increase girl participation in the Girl Scout Program in an assigned school by coordinating volunteers who place girls and recruit adults.
Service Unit Delegate Convener
Organizes service unit delegates and encourages service unit involvement in the Council’s democratic process.
Service Unit Delegate
Promotes and represents service unit involvement in the Council’s democratic process.
Service Unit Alternate Delegate
Promotes and represents service unit involvement in the Council’s democratic process.
Service Unit Recognitions Chairperson
Promotes and facilitates the administration of adult awards and recognitions.
Service Unit Communications Manager
Increases public awareness of Girl Scouting in the community.
Service Unit Events Manager
Increases Girl Scout program activities by coordinating events in a designated area.
Service Unit HUGS Liaison
Promotes and increases participation in the Council’s Annual Giving Campaign within an assigned area.
Service Unit Product Sales Coordinator
Promotes and increases participation in product sales within an assigned area.
Service Unit Registrar
Organizes the service unit membership registration system.
Service Unit Treasurer
Maintains Service Unit funds.
Troop Leader
Leads, guides and partners with a group of girls by participating in the Girl Scout Program. To assist girls in developing courage, confidence and character so that they may become happy and resourceful citizens who make the world a better place.
Assistant Troop Leader
Leads, guides and partners with a group of girls by participating in the Girl Scout Program. To assist girls in developing courage, confidence and character so that they may become happy and resourceful citizens who make the world a better place.
Troop Product Sales Manager
Increases participation in product sales within the troop/group.
