What will I learn?

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore thank the First Energy Corporation for underwriting its Adult Volunteer Training Program. |
Leader Training 1 (LT1) is designed to aid new leaders in knowing the GSUSA and Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore policies, how to run a meeting, how to hold a parents meeting, Girl Scout traditions, planning with girls, handling troop funds health and safety standards, trip procedures and product sales. Girl Scout Leadership Experience Training (GSLE) is the new face of Girl Scouting. It is the center of the new Girl Scout Program which was created to help girls and adults develop their own leadership skills. Girls of different ages follow different "Journeys" towards developing themselves as leaders. They discover things about themselves and the world around them. They connect with their friends, other Girl Scouts, and families and take action in the community, locally and globally, to make the world a better place. Girl Scouts of the USA has designed a step by step course for leaders to understand the new Girl Scout Leadership Experience and provide direction for working with existing program materials. This course will show leaders of every age level how to lead the girls through their own leadership experience called GS Journeys as well as instructions on using badges, try-its and interest patches to enhance the leadership experience for girls and adults. This course has replaced the LT2 course.
