This is a progressive learning experience for girls. Adults attend Outdoor education Courses in order to learn the necessary outdoor skills, and how to teach these skills to the girls. Learning to adapt and manage in an unfamiliar environment, learning to be responsible, and using decision-making skills all helps girls continue to build their self-confidence and self-esteem. Outdoor training is required whenever a leader plans to implement skilled outdoor activities. Since space is limited, participation in an outdoor education course requires a $5.00 refundable deposit. Deposit will be refunded if participant attends the course they have registered for or cancels seven days before the course begins. Please attach a check made payable to Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore to the council service center.
