Appreciation is an ongoing, everyday process for anyone, anywhere, anytime. Showing appreciation for one another is a good way to show respect, to relate to each other’s strengths, and to build mutual commitment. Recognitions are tangible reminders of rewarding relationships between people and Girl Scouting. Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore recognizes its volunteers on two levels. Awards were created specifically for volunteers who contribute to the service unit. The criteria for all awards can be found by opening the awards booklet titled Awards and Recognitions for Adult Girl Scouts which is published each spring. A link to the file can be found below. Recognition ceremonies are held at service unit leader meetings in the spring of each year. The Council Awards Recognition Reception is also held each year to honor those volunteers who earn Council Awards. Once arrangements for this event have been made, a registration form will be available on this page as well. Additional awards were created for volunteers who contribute directly to the council. Volunteers receiving these awards are recognized at the council awards event in spring of each year. 2010 Adult Recognition ReceptionYou're Invited! Join us as we honor our amazing volunteers!
